On The Road Again!

But this time I’m hittin’ the road not with my wonderful husband, but with my friend, blogger buddy, sewing buddy and partner-in-crime, Regena. We’re heading to SoCal and the Long Beach International Quilt Show.  My husband and sons said that this sounds about as much fun as watching paint dry.   I’ve never been to a quilt show.  In fact I’ve the only thing I have ever quilted are a few mug rugs…so this will be another new adventure!  I can’t wait!
However, the most important part of our trip will be meeting for the first time two other blogger buddies – Karen and Amy.  We “met” each other through the blog-o-sphere and apron swap-o-sphere and have become fast friends. We each have so much in common it’s scary. We’ve chatted, sewn, eaten, vented and swapped with each other through our blogs and “Crafty Chicas” on Facebook. We’ve waited for new grandbabies with Karen and traveled with Amy on business trips.  We’ve consoled Regena during “teenage daughter woes” and they have all given me much needed sewing advice and inspiration! We each share a love for GOD, sewing, crafting, food and family.
This weekend will be full of eating, laughing, talking, sewing and shopping!
SoCal Watch Out!  The Crafty Chicas are on the loose!

Blessings....

GOD has shined down on
my family again!

Yesterday my husband Chris and I learned that our son Tim and his beautiful Krystal are expecting a baby!

Wow! What a wonderful adventure this will be!!
This will make three grandchildren for Gramma and Papa!
We have Christopher, who will be 3 in October and Princess Presley, who is almost 2.

I have never seen my son Tim this happy before.  Like his big brother Chris, Tim will make an excellent Daddy.

I am having a great time with Lil Christopher and Presley and I know that this new little one is also going to bring great joy to our family.  It will be fun to watch the kids grow up together and experience life.  It will be fun to camp with them, run through sprinklers with them, make cookies with them, celebrate birthdays and holidays with them and have lots of adventures with them!

My family is my greatest treasure and I pray for them and thank GOD for them every single day.  We have so very much to be thankful for.  Our three sons, have grown into fine, wonderful men.
They are all completely different and unique in their own way and we are extremely proud of them and love them very, very much!

Congratulations Timothy and Krystal!

Arrggh Mateys!

Meet my wee lil' pirate.
This is my grandson, Christopher.  He is the apple of our eye and a whole bunch of fun!  My husband and I had him all to ourselves one day in June and we had a great time!

We went to lunch, then to Walmart where Papa bought him popsicles and a fun water toy-sprinkler.  Then on to Michaels where he wanted an American flag and "nocolurs" aka binoculars.  He also picked out a "cwocodile" to paint for his daddy for Father's Day.

Once we got back to Gamma and Papa's we ran through the sprinklers, ate oranges and then painted rocks and the crocodile.

The pirate hat and spyglass were a giftie from my friend Karen over at sewmuch2luv.blogspot.com.  She made them for her four grandsons when they went on an ocean tidepool adventure one day.  So Cute!

Having fun with Papa!

Running through the sprinklers!

Painting Rocks!

"I want this color now Papa"

I Love his hands!

All Done!

"I Spy A......."

All Tuckered Out!

Christopher is fun and smart and makes us laugh all the time.
We had an amazing day!  It's great to be Grandparents!
